The purpose of the corridor improvement study is to identify concepts for improving mobility as well as transit reliability, emergency response times and safety within the I-35 corridor between SH 45SE and Posey Road.
Solutions to improve I-35 in Hays County are being sought through the I-35 Capital Area Improvement Program (Mobility 35), a partnership between TxDOT, Hays County, local cities, CAMPO, and other regional agencies.
Over the course of the study, a range of concepts will be developed and analyzed that will take into account the needs of drivers, transit riders, bicyclists and pedestrians, as well as surrounding businesses, neighborhoods and the environment. Concepts identified through the improvement study will be incorporated into a I-35 Capital Area Improvement Program implementation plan, which will guide the development of projects along the I-35 corridor throughout Hays, Travis and Williamson Counties.

The study is anticipated to be complete by mid-2015. Concepts identified through the feasibility study will be incorporated into the I-35 Capital Area Implementation Plan. The Plan will guide the development of projects along the I-35 corridor throughout Williamson, Travis and Hays counties.
