I-35 at 51st Street
Overview:
The schematic and environmental process is underway for this project which will improve the southbound frontage road of I-35 in the vicinity of 51st Street.

Need & Purpose
- Reduced bottleneck at the southbound frontage road and 51st St.
- Improved connection to existing U-turn structure
- Improved southbound ramp operations between 51st St. and Airport Blvd.

- New southbound collector-distributor road
- New roundabout at 51st St. and the southbound frontage road
- Revised ramp configuration on the southbound frontage road
- Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities

- Construction not currently funded
- Construction cost estimate: $13 million
