I-35 at Loop 82 and SH 80

Overview:

Construction of an innovative intersection concept will improve two existing bottlenecks at the intersections of Loop 82 (Aquarena Springs Drive) and SH 80 (Hopkins St.) at the I-35 frontage roads.

Volume of traffic through intersections during peak periods
Upgraded intersection design improves traffic flow and travel time

Conversion from traditional intersections to Continuous Flow Intersections
New raised medians to increase safety
Pedestrian improvements

Traditional development funded by TxDOT
Construction cost estimate: $6 million
